At 9.05am the whole school headed to the library to watch the New Zealand Freestyle Ball Champion Ollie Bowman. Ollie talked to the school for 10 minutes about how he became the NZ Champion (many hours of practise) and what he has done with the skill (joined the circus and free shoes from Adidas).
The students were given the opportunity to ask questions. Ollie asked if we would like to see a demonstration to which the school let out a very loud YES! Check out some photos of what Ollie showed us, it was pretty incredible.

After his amazing demonstration Ollie asked for two volunteers to learn two of his tricks. Asher was the first lucky volunteer and Nikita from Kowhai was the second. Check out these photos of them trying Ollie's tricks.
It was pretty amazing and many students (and a teacher) were seen trying out the skills at morning tea time.
Thanks Ollie!!!
